Glass Technology Forum 

The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) represents the interests of around 3,000 machinery manufacturers. Some 914,000 employees in the industry produce an annual output of 190 billion Euros, 72 percent of which is shipped to the export market. VDMA members account for more than 40 percent of the European investment goods industry. The industry's worldwide reputation for innovation is based on the technical sophistication of more than 20,000 product types.

The Glass Technology Forum is a specialized section of VDMA and represents 60 companies. They produce engineering technology for the flat, hollow and special glass industry. The industry generates an annual turnover of 650 Million Euros in Germany; two thirds of which are made by exports. The Forum is conceptual sponsor of glasstec, the industry's leading international trade show. Chairman is Mr. Dr. Bernd-Holger Zippe, Managing Partner of Zippe Industrieanlagen GmbH, Wertheim.
