Condition Monitoring Systems
A transformer in a substation, and electric motor in a manufacturing plant and freshly chipped wood pulp in a paper mill are all examples of locations where the temperature can yield important information about the safety or reliability in a given facility. Most maintenance and safety professionals are aware that a properly calibrated infrared camera can measure thousands of pixels on any of these target areas.
More difficult is packaging these systems in enclosures that ensure continuous temperature monitoring in environmental extremes and the alarming capability that offers early warning of and oncoming problem. Optris Condition Monitoring systems combine the IR camera, the visual camera, the ethernet converter for long signal transmission and the rugged enclosures that ensure reliable operation in a wide variety of plant environments. Optris offers a series of camera options that vary based on image resolution (pixel count), price and environmental survivability requirements.
